Steve wanted to create a 70s era ska video and needed the gear to match. A great project to work on, and think we ended up with a good line-up - a 72 P-Bass, US Vintage Telecaster, backed up by a couple of vintage amps. Looking forward to seeing the video!

Hires to opera singers don't come around that often. But when Texan opera singer Mike Mayes took a break from rehearsals with the English National Opera, he needed the right guitar to revisit his bluegrass roots. There was only one choice for Mike - a vintage Martin D-28 to accompany his sweet baritone!

Thanks to The Royston Club's Ben Matthias for the hire of a couple of classic pedals: the 2008 Analogman King Of Tone and 1983 Ibanez Tube Screamer. If these two were used on every track on their upcoming album, I expect it to rock!

It's not every day the Royal Opera House casts an electric guitar in its productions. But this was a special moment - the world premiere of Last Days, an opera based around the final days of Kurt Cobain. Glowing reviews, and a cameo role that could only be taken by one guitar. A big thank you to Grace at the Royal Opera House for casting the Sonic Blue Jag-Stang in the production!

A special moment. Secret Affair launch their Very Best Of album in an intimate gig at London's legendary 100 Club. Bass guitarist Edwin Pearson trades his double bass for the 1964 Hofner President, making its own debut on the 100 Club stage. A lovely man, and a lovely guitarist - just great to hear him making this vintage bass sound so good!

OK, it's never going to fill Wembley Stadium, but for at home/hotel practice, the 10W Marshall G-10 packs a punch. Thanks very much to Howard for the hire - and the patience of those in adjoining rooms ;-).
