It's a small selection, but we've been through a lot of pedals over the years, and these ones fall into the favourites bucket, no contest.  Of course, we'll continue to add new ones - as they come in and once they've been through a thorough check.  So, do drop by every once in a while to see what's been added to the pedalboard and stack.

1995 Lovetone Meatball
Multi-Effect Envelope Filter
Short (1 - 5 days): £15.00/day
Medium: (6 - 21 days): £10.00/day
Long (22 - 28 days): £7.50/day
A rare and hugely versatile pedal.  The third off the production line - Serial # 0003.  Lovetone describe the Meatball as "an amazing envelope follower/triggered filter". The effects produced are similar to those of wah and flanger/phaser pedals. But that understates it, massively.  This is a pedal with infinite sonic possibilities - not to mention additional FX looping.  For multiple instruments, not just guitars.  Has to be heard (and experimented with) to be believed!
One of a trio of original 1995 Lovetones owned by Henry Olsen, bass guitarist with Primal Scream, and multiple subsequent collaborations.
Loved by: The Edge, Kirk Hammett, Billy Duffy, Robert Smith, Kevin Shields, Henry Olsen, and many more.

1995 Lovetone Big Cheese
Classic 60s Fuzz
Short (1 - 5 days): £15.00/day
Medium: (6 - 21 days): £10.00/day
Long (22 - 28 days): £7.50/day
The legendary Big Cheese, a fantastic recreation of that valve-channelled fuzz of the 60s & 70s, and some.  In Lovetone's own words, "a loving homage to the nasty, buzzy yet gorgeous and harmonically rich early fuzz".  Plenty of permutations here with the variety of tones and drive.  And plenty of fun to be had: set to Cheese, turn up the Curds, and you're straight into that world of gated fuzz cut-out that runs from late 60s Stones to mid-90s Radiohead.
One of a trio of original 1995 Lovetones owned by Henry Olsen, bass guitarist with Primal Scream, and multiple subsequent collaborations.
Loved by: Johnny Marr, The Edge, Ed O'Brien, Colin Greenwood, Henry Olsen, and many more.

1995 Lovetone Brown Source
Classic Overdrive
Short (1 - 5 days): £15.00/day
Medium: (6 - 21 days): £10.00/day
Long (22 - 28 days): £7.50/day
A classic overdrive pedal, without the fuzz of many modern overdrives.  This one very uniquely the first ever: Serial #0001.  As Lovetone put it, "an instant flash-back to that dynamic, singing, BIG late 60's / early 70's brown sound that is associated with countless classic records spanning the whole musical spectrum . . . will make any new guitar sound 30 years older!"  It can be pretty subtle too.  Best experienced through an amp that's already cooking!
One of a trio of original 1995 Lovetones owned by Henry Olsen, bass guitarist with Primal Scream, and multiple subsequent collaborations.
Loved by: Johnny Marr, Kirk Hammett, Henry Olsen - which itself says a lot about the wide appeal of this classic.

2008 Analog.Man King Of Tone
Legendary Limited Production Overdrive
Short (1 - 5 days): £12.00/day
Medium: (6 - 21 days): £8.00/day
Long (22 - 28 days): £6.00/day
Such is the demand, and such is the Analog.Man commitment to quality hand-built production, you'll be on a 2-year waiting list for one of these beauties.
A brilliantly designed overdrive that takes an amp at reasonable settings, and makes it sound like it would sound if it were naturally driven to pure, smooth, tube distortion.  It's actually two overdrive pedals in one box, each with separate controls, and internal DIP switches to vary the level of Clean, Overdrive & Distortion output.  Basically the freedom to set and dial in a range of overdrive levels that you'd need 2 or 3 pedals to achieve.  Modern-day classic!
Loved by: John Mayer, Wayne Sermon, Noel Gallagher, and many more.

1970s Shaftesbury Squall HA-9P
Pioneering Volume/Wah Multi-Effects Pedal
Short (1 - 5 days): £9.00/day
Medium: (6 - 21 days): £6.00/day
Long (22 - 28 days): £4.50/day
Tame by modern standards, but back in the early-70s, this was a pioneer.  A Volume and Wah pedal in one.  OK, quite an innovation.  And then, why not, white noise filters that enable you to recreate the sound of a raging tornado or the surf on a beach.  Oh, and just  because there's still some space, a push button police siren, that can be activated in parallel with the instrument signal.  Mad, maybe.  But listen to 70s glam band The Sweet's classic Blockbuster and you'll know exactly why you need to try this one!
Loved by: Anyone who couldn't get hold of a Cry Baby in the 70s - and The Sweet!

2005 Electro-Harmonix Graphic Fuzz
Graphic Equalizer, with Overdrive & Envelope
Short (1 - 5 days): £6.00/day
Medium: (6 - 21 days): £4.00/day
Long (22 - 28 days): £3.00/day
It's just a graphic equalizer, it's just a row of frequency sliders.  Which is what I thought when I first plugged this in.  But start to experiment with it and you're hooked.  From thin & reedy (think Nutbush City Limits) to full-fat cream, can make any guitar sound like any guitar.  As a floor-pedal graphic equalizer, it takes a lot of beating.
Loved by: Gary Moore, Bob Dylan (for his vocals!), Adrian Belew, and The Chemical Brothers - quite a range!

1993 SansAmp GT2
Classic Tube Amp Simulator
Short (1 - 5 days): £9.00/day
Medium: (6 - 21 days): £6.00/day
Long (22 - 28 days): £4.50/day
Bar none, the best Tube Amp Simulator I've ever used.  Not just the options for California, British, and Tweed amps.  Not just the options for Clean to Hot-Wired Overdrive.  But even options for Mic placement - the most subtle of the options, but still opening up an even wider range of sonic possibilities.  No need for a wall of amps and cabs.  Just this.  Superb!
Originally owned by Henry Olsen, bass guitarist with Primal Scream, and multiple subsequent collaborations.
Loved by: Matt Bellamy - and if it's good enough for him . . .

1990s Ernie Ball Volume Pedal
The Classic Volume Pedal, no batteries required
Short (1 - 5 days): £4.50/day
Medium: (6 - 21 days): £3.00/day
Long (22 - 28 days): £2.25/day
A timeless classic.  Built like a tank, perfect pedal response.  The original 1990s version, with the side jacks (which seems to make more sense anyway, if you're chaining effects on a board).
Originally owned by Henry Olsen, bass guitarist with Primal Scream, and multiple subsequent collaborations.
Loved by: Mark Knopfler, Josh Homme, Johnny Greenwood, Henry Olsen, and many, many more.

1983 Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer
Original, holy grail overdrive
Short (1 - 5 days): £9.00/day
Medium: (6 - 21 days): £6.00/day
Long (22 - 28 days): £4.50/day
Not the reissue.  This one's the original.  Ibanez produced their fabled "9" series for a relatively short run, from 1982 -1985.  This is one of those, and comes loaded with the original (and venerated) JRC4558D chip.  Famous for its "mid-hump" boost" to midrange frequencies.  And today, one of the most successful, replicated and "modded" pedals in history,  A solid gold (or green) classic overdrive.
Loved by: The Edge, Noel Gallagher, Billie Joe Armstrong, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Gary Moore, John Squire, Carlos Santana . . . enough said!

2009 Boss DD-3 Digital Delay
Next up from the original  DD-2, the first compact delay
Short (1 - 5 days): £6.00/day
Medium: (6 - 21 days): £4.00/day
Long (22 - 28 days): £3.00/day
For anyone living through the 80s (and yes, I know that's a declining number), the original Boss DD-2 was an absolute gift from heaven.  The first digital delay in compact format - and for any musician on a budget, the only answer when a rack-mounted delay unit would have blown away a month's income.  The DD-3 followed only 3 years later in 1986 - and is still in production today.  So, basically, the first and last and always (repeated, and repeated, and . . .).
Loved by: Kelly Jones, Matt Bellamy, Dan Auerbach, Dave Grohl, Dave Keuning, Slash, Joe Bonamassa, Yannis Philippakis . . . in fact, it's pretty hard to name a guitar god that hasn't used one of these!

2005 Dunlop Cry Baby Standard Wah Pedal
The one that started it all
Short (1 - 5 days): £4.50/day
Medium: (6 - 21 days): £3.00/day
Long (22 - 28 days): £2.25/day
First produced in 1966 and immortalised by players like Clapton and Hendrix, this is a modern take on that original - more focused high end, more aggressive and accentuated wah sound.
Loved by: Eric Clapton, John Frusciante, Matt Bellamy, Kelly Jones, Brian May, Paul Weller . . . and pretty much everyone else.

2015 Daredevil Atomic Cock Fixed Wah/Overdrive
Precision tone & harmonic settings with one stomp
Short (1 - 5 days): £6.00/day
Medium: (6 - 21 days): £4.00/day
Long (22 - 28 days): £3.00/day
You'd want to try it, if only for saying you've got an Atomic Cock.  An instant gateway to the tone of a precisely cocked wah pedal. By adjusting the sweep knob, you can activate your chosen sweet-spot tone, without in-flight wah pedal adjustment.  Probably most recognisable when set to replicate the harmonic overdrive of Mark Knopfler's Money For Nothing riff.
Loved by: Anyone that likes wah pedals, but struggles to get the exact pedal angle in live performance.

Boss Harmonist PS-6 Pitch Shifter
For lost afternoons & orchestral creations
Short (1 - 5 days): £4.50/day
Medium: (6 - 21 days): £3.00/day
Long (22 - 28 days): £2.25/day
Endless possibilities.  The only limit is sleep deprivation.  A harmoniser pedal featuring four pitch shift effects and up to three voice harmonies.  Perfect for experimentation, even more perfect for creating multi-tracked guitar harmonies that will leave even Brian May open-mouthed.
Loved by: The sonic experimenters, the fearless innovators, the ones who want to sound like they've got a guitar orchestra hidden behind stage.

1980s Boss CE-2 Chorus
The world's first & finest compact Chorus
Short (1 - 5 days): £6.00/day
Medium: (6 - 21 days): £4.00/day
Long (22 - 28 days): £3.00/day
Classic no-frills chorus pedal.  The first scale production compact chorus pedal, first introduced in 1979, and running strong through to 1991.  You'd be hard-pressed to find any guitarist playing in the 80s, whatever their style, without one of these on their board.
Loved by: Johnny Marr, Jimmy Page, Josh Klinghoffer, Andy Rourke, Andy Summers, and many, many more converts.

2017 Boss Compression Sustainer CS-3
Favourite of so many dynamic guitarists
Short (1 - 5 days): £4.50/day
Medium: (6 - 21 days): £3.00/day
Long (22 - 28 days): £2.25/day
The industry standard.  Compresses high-input signals while boosting low-input signals, giving you smooth sustain without degrading the quality of the original sound.  Will instantly make you sound more in control of your playing, without taking away from your hard-earned and uniquely dynamic style.
Loved by: Jack White, The Edge, Andy Bell, Tom DeLonge, Graham Coxon, Matt Healy, and so many more unique players.

2015 Crowther Audio Hot Cake Overdrive
Designed by a guitarist, for guitarists
Short (1 - 5 days): £6.00/day
Medium: (6 - 21 days): £4.00/day
Long (22 - 28 days): £3.00/day
Paul Crowther first produced the Hot Cake when he was with Split Enz in the 1970s.  He knew what he wanted, couldn't find it, so made it himself.  And only a couple of new releases since then, he's stayed true to the basic formula - a great fat overdrive that retains the underlying tonality of the guitar without resorting to fuzz.  So good, I've got two.  One for me, one for you.
Loved by: Thom Yorke, Ed O'Brien, Noel Gallagher, Steve Cradock, Hugh Harris, Neil Finn, to name just a few.

2017 Vick Audio 73 Ram's Head "Big Muff"
Sustain that you can serve a prison sentence to
Short (1 - 5 days): £4.50/day
Medium: (6 - 21 days): £3.00/day
Long (22 - 28 days): £2.25/day
The Electro-Harmonix Big Muff is the stuff of legends, so much so that it's had more replicas and tributes than guitarists that have used it (well, probably).  This is one of the very finest of those replicas, based on the 1973 - 77 Big Muff, also known as the Ram's Head.  Staggering sustain.  The perfect pedal for pretty much any solo by David Gilmour since the 1970s.
Loved by: Big Muff fans everywhere, and anyone that wants their guitar to sing, and keep singing.

2015 Analog Man Astro Tone Fuzz
Classic retro 60s fuzz tones
Short (1 - 5 days): £7.50/day
Medium: (6 - 21 days): £5.00/day
Long (22 - 28 days): £3.75/day
Perfect retro remake.  Based on the 1960's SAM ASH FUZZZ BOXX and ASTROTONE FUZZ made in New York City in 1966-68 by the Astro Amp company, it's even Even built from a stock of transistors from 1966.  The Analog Man gang worked really hard to create a rounded sound, as true to the low-end as the high-end.  And they've nailed it.  Classic 60s fuzz and distortion.
Loved by: Retro effects lovers the world over, seeking the characteristic fuzz of the 60s.

2015 Wampler Tumnus Overdrive/Boost
A bite that's bigger than its bark
Short (1 - 5 days): £4.50/day
Medium: (6 - 21 days): £3.00/day
Long (22 - 28 days): £2.25/day
It's a micro-pedal, but God, can it kick down doors.  Built to replicate the sound of a far more expensive (and larger) overdrive, its size may fool you at first.  But when you plug it in, this delivers in spades.  Terrific cooking valve overdrive.
Loved by: Those wanting to recreate the overdrive of amps cranked to 11, without waking up the neighbours (much).

2000s Love Pedal High Power Tweed Twin Overdrive
Keith Richards & Neil Young in a box
Short (1 - 5 days): £6.00/day
Medium: (6 - 21 days): £4.00/day
Long (22 - 28 days): £3.00/day
Perfect for any player seeking authentic Fender amp overdrive tones. All the power, punch and overdrive of classic Fender valve amps, without having to go to 10.  Has a nice 3-way high-cut EQ toggle, which gives you plenty of range to get anything from Gimme Shelter warmth to searing Sympathy For The Devil cut.  Great pedal for that specific Fender valve amp sound.
Loved by: Fans of Keith Richards, Neil Young, and anyone that wants more of that classic overdriven Fender valve amp (without having to buy the amp and cabinet).

Short (1 - 5 days): £6.00/day

Loved by: Overdrive junkies wanting to explore a full range of tones, from hairy blues to hard rock.

Loved by: The ones that need that little bit more, not just overdrive, but a heavy sprinkling of distortion on top, please.

Massive distortion pedal for heavy rock lovers everywhere.  Rothwell don't make clones or repros.  They make pedals from the ground up.  And this one has everything you need, from boost to full-on distortion for a truly huge heavy rock sound, rhythm or lead.  This one should be cloned by other pedal builders!
Loved by: Heavy rock guitarists that want to push it to 11.

Short (1 - 5 days): £6.00/day
Medium: (6 - 21 days): £4.00/day
Long (22 - 28 days): £3.00/day
Famed and loved for his beautiful custom amps, Reinhold Bogner has taken it all one step further with a limited range of pedals designed with audio pioneer Rupert Neve (whose equipment has underpinned recordings as diverse as Fleetwood Mac's "Rumours" and Nirvana's "Nevermind").  And the result: "fire-breathing pandemonium".  Nice touch too with the central jewel lamp that reacts to the dynamics of your playing.
Loved by: Lovers of beautifully engineered design, lovers of rich tone and dynamic distortion.

Fishman PRO-REP-102 Acoustic Guitar Humbucker,
because not all guitars come with pick-ups
Short (1 - 5 days): £4.50/day
Medium: (6 - 21 days): £3.00/day
Long (22 - 28 days): £2.25/day
Yes, I know.  It's not a pedal, nor an amp.  But it does have a pre-amp installed.  A lovely warm tone across the range with this Fishman Rare Earth humbucker.  Also benefits from a small and easily accessible volume knob, which gives you control over the output if you've got a noisier crowd loving your sounds.  Takes less than a minute to install, and you're ready to go.
Loved by: Acoustic guitarists that want to be heard, and still retain the purity of the standalone guitar.  That's it.
