Hirer Feedback
Don't take my word for it. This is what matters most!
"First time hiring gear and Iain couldn’t have been more accommodating. Will be using his service again and recommending to all those I know. Long live the King of Tone!"
Sceptics, fall by the wayside - the Analog.man King Of Tone is worth every ounce of the hype. So says hirer Lawrence who spent a long weekend forensically discovering everything the KoT had to offer. Tried it, loved it, so good, he's going to get his own now!

"loved this guitar has an amazing sound Iain is a treasure to the guitar community will definitely rent off him again"
It's not just the shoegazers, but it's more often than not the shoegazers that give their undying love to the 1976 Guild S-100 ;-). Big thanks to Sean from Dublin-based Dream Boy, making their debut at London's Sebright Arms at the start of September. Ones to watch!

"Played beautifully, very smooth action."
A pleasure to welcome back to London the boys from Dublin-based Dominda, this time for a headline appearance at Breaking Sound's showcase at The Macbeth in Hoxton on 30 August. The band hired three guitars this time - the 62 Reissue Jaguar for Luke, the Yamaha LA-8 for Ru, and the most eye-catching of all, the 1975 Gibson Marauder for Barry. And he loved it!

"What a lovely guitar, and easy interaction with Iain. Just what I needed for a few days of demos in London."
Great to have Denver singer/songwriter Ben Tonak hiring the 2006 Gibson Hummingbird during his stay in London - and sharing some of the magical demos he made with it. Loved it so much, he's going to buy a Hummingbird himself once back in the States!

"Thanks for the hire. The guitar was beautiful to play and Iain was so helpful informative and patient over the phone when i first enquired. This was the reason I chose to go with him in the first place. The whole experience lived up to the promise of that first interaction. Highly recommended!"
Just great to meet Adelaide-based singer/songwriter Tom, and hear all about his unique touring model. He takes The Songs Of Tom Smith to different cities around the world, finds local musicians to form a band for a gig, rehearses and performs. Really bold, really inspiring! A great honour to have the failsafe Yamaha LA-8 in his hands.

"Lovely instrument, typical excellent service. Cheers Iain"
Regular hirer Ollie from London band Colour Telly must now have hired 5 of the vintage basses in the collection - always for a particular sound. This latest hire was probably the most unique of them all, at least in terms of tone - the 1964 Hofner President, with its amazing woody acoustics. Listen out for it on the latest from Colour Telly!

"Coming from the US to play at my daughter's wedding in Henley-On-Thames, I was so fortunate to find Iain and God's Own Guitars. Working with him to hire the Yamaha FG-411 12-string added to my joy of the whole event. The guitar was set up perfectly and stayed in tune and eminently playable even in capo keys. I received lots of compliments on the songs I played at Amanda's wedding. And I learned how to navigate London's underground train system for the pickup and return. Thank you, Iain."
Just wonderful to have Frank hiring the Yamaha 12-string for his daughter's wedding. Not the first guitar hired for a wedding, but definitely the first time a 12-string's been hired. Hats off to Frank for making it a very special day! As a sidenote, I'd like to say that lessons in navigating the London underground are all part of the service, but I think Frank deserves 100% of the credit for that too ;-).

"Thank you Iain for a great service with a wonderful instrument - a beautifully resonant guitar that sparkled and was a pleasure to play. Certainly one of Gods own guitars :-)"
All the way from New Zealand, Cary wanted to try something special while in London. He'd always had his eye on a Martin D-28, and the 1974 D-28 ticked all the boxes. 50 years old this year, and sounding better than ever!

"Iain was so helpful with a very specific last minute request, and provided us with 3 gorgeous guitars for our shoot. The communication was great and the guitars themselves made the shoot 100% better. I would definitely use Iain again, good value for money and a great range of guitars and accessories."
Just great to be able to help Art Director Freya Espie on a recent video shoot. More to be revealed, but I can safely say there are cameo roles for a trio of beauties: an early 70s Epiphone EA-250, 1989 Black Beauty, and 1993 Gibson J-200. And that's just the supporting cast 😉.

"I had a last min gig opportunity in England as I was travelling, and Iain helped me find the perfect guitar for the show. The Hummingbird has such a beautiful tone and was the source of much awe from everyone backstage!"
Huge thanks to Australian singer/songwriter Eddie Fitzpatrick for giving the 2006 Gibson Hummingbird the love it loves. Not just any gig, either, but The Clapham Grand, supporting international speaker Lucinda Light, as part of her UK tour. Feeling uplifted!

"Top quality guitar. Played beautifully, great sound. Also fantastic service from start to finish. Thanks Iain!"
Back in April, Dublin band Dominda launched their new EP at The Grace in Islington. Lead singer and guitarist Ru hired the ever-dependable Yamaha LA-8 acoustic, while fellow guitarist Luke put his sonic blue Jazzmaster through the gorgeous 2005 Fender 65 Reissue Twin Reverb. Thanks to the band for the feedback - it doesn't matter how long it takes, it's always good to get it!

"Absolute Super Guitar, incredible value for money. Guitar performs way above its pay grade. Thank you Iain for being so communicative and flexible!!!"
Actor/musician Lee O'Reilly hired the 1997 Yamaha LA-8 for 10 days of show rehearsals for West End musical Once, ahead of an overseas run in Taiwan. He didn't take the guitar to Taiwan, but loved the LA-8 so much, he wants to get his own. It really is that good!

"Excellent service, really helpful and informative making sure I got what I need for the event I was holding. Equipment was in excellent condition and very accommodating in collection and drop off times."
Great to be able to help Jon out at the Catford Bridge Tavern, as he put on three Battle Of The Bands heats in August. The bands brought their own guitars, but the 2000 Marshall G-30 and 2010 Peavey MAX 115 bass amp filled out the backline. Now it's just over to the finals at the end of August to see which band will be crowned the winner!

"Hired a beautiful guitar for a photo shoot at very late notice (within hours!). I was very lucky to find Iain who had the specific guitar we needed and made the hire easy and painless - thanks again!"
It may have been late notice, but delighted to be able to help Eva out with the shoot. A special guitarist, in need of a Black Beauty, is all I can say for now . . . but the results will be out in the December edition of Tatler. Almost a perfect Christmas present ;-).
