Hirer Feedback
Don't take my word for it. This is what matters most!
"Excellent guitar. In beautiful condition and really well set up! Also, a great experience dealing with Iain through the whole process!"
It doesn't go out often, but when it does, it really does. Jazz player Joe wanted something special for a night session at a curated art exhibition, and chose the guitar inspired by one of the all time jazz greats, a 1969 Gibson Barney Kessel Regular. Big thanks to Joe for giving this one some air!

"Iain is the kindest and most understanding man possible. Through all my personal misfortune he was there to help. What a guy. 11/10 look no further, this is exactly what you're looking for."
When your baggage gets lost on the way over from the States, at least there's always your dream guitar. 1993 Gibson J-200 to the rescue when Matthew's days in London were otherwise messed up by chasing his lost baggage. Only a Gibson is good enough!

"The amp sounded fantastic and Iain couldn't have done more for us to make it all happen within a short time period. I'd fully recommend God's Own Guitars to anyone - top quality service!"
I've never hired to a cellist before - to be fair, until now, I'd never had a cellist get in touch . . . But this was a special occasion. A wedding ceremony, with a solo cellist looking to build on tones with a Fender Twin Reverb. I never knew, but it's not just guitars that sound great through a Twin Reverb! Thanks very much to Jody for the hire.

"This guitar was a treat! Had it for a week on a recent trip to London and really enjoyed the sound. Iain was stellar – punctual, accommodating, friendly, reliable, flexible – truly excellent service all around! Would recommend and will use the service again next time I am in town."
Another hirer falling in love with that Yamaha LA-8. Matt was over for a week visiting London, but didn't want to break his practice routine. The LA-8 was the perfect companion.

"Thanks to God's Own Guitars for the hire of 3 gorgeous classic guitars for our music clip collaboration. The service was straightforward & professional."
Big thanks to award-winning film and TV production designer Nicki Gardiner for the hire of three vintage classics for a video shoot with a well-known band. The 62 Reissue SG, 60 Reissue Les Paul Goldtop, and 92 Telecaster photogenic as ever!

"Excellent communication, the bass was perfect, well priced and just generally an extremely positive experience."
Great little project to help multi-instrumentalist Ollie in his search for an elusive bass sound. A bass a day - from a Rickenbacker 4001 to a Fender Jazz to this Gibson Ripper, sonically the most versatile with its unique varitone and tone control system. Got there in the end!

"I had the pleasure of renting a Little Martin for two weeks from God’s Own Guitars while I was touristing in London. Iain delivered the guitar to my hotel at appointed time, explained everything I needed to know about the instrument and its care, and then promptly picked it up before we departed for the States. Iain was thoroughly professional and a delight to work with. The Little Martin had fabulous tone and was so fun to play. I give both Iain and God’s Own Guitars five gold stars. My experience could not have been better!"
That Little Martin working its magic again. It's a travel guitar - and lives up to its name as one of the most popular hires for travellers to the UK. Big thanks to Cathy from the US for the hire!

"Super easy, quick and no fuss. Iain is a legend and we'll definitely be coming back for other gear needs in the future!"
Thanks to Nora at record label/management company Leafy Outlook for hiring the classic Fender Twin Reverb for a showcase gig at London's Hoxton Hall - with featured artists Roo Panes and Beatenberg, a wonderful night.

"We rented this along with a couple of other guitars and amps from Iain for a film shoot. The experience was absolutely amazing - Iain is so helpful and accommodating, and the instruments themselves were gorgeous and so well looked after. Highly recommend!"
A great project to work on! Recreating a well-documented but little-known moment in shoegaze history with film-makers Peanut Rodriguez and Jenny Logan. Big reveal to follow when the film launches! And the first outing for Peter Hook's 1976 Thunderbird IV bass, alongside the 1988 Gibson ES-335, 2011 Graham Coxon Telecaster and a handful of amps. Looking forward to seeing the results!

"I wish I could give him 6 stars… everything amazing, the guitar was super regulated, the collection point is very easy to find, Iain is very punctual and friendly. I highly recommend this item for anyone who is interested in rent a guitar!!! Again thank you very much Iain!"
Generous praise from Winicius for the Les Paul Classic Goldtop. Delighted it rose to the challenge of tribute band Monsters Of Metal, shaking the rafters of The Cart & Horses in Stratford . . . the same venue that Iron Maiden made their name in in the 1970s!

"Wonderful. Wonderful service, wonderful guitar and wonderful clarity. I couldn't have been more delighted with the service Iain, God's Own Guitars, provided when hiring the 1963 Gibson for a film and stills shoot for The Ivy. Everything went very smoothly indeed. Thank you."
Big thanks to Portland Mitchell for hiring two Gibson beauties for cameo appearances in a shoot for the Ivy Restaurant Group. A 1963 J-160E and a 1993 Gibson J-200 - supermodels!

"Can you play jazz on a Jazzmaster? Yes (Joe Pass did also). Is this better than my Squire 40th ann vintage jm? Yes. it's a beautiful guitar, very playable and great sound, very versatile and as a pure solo instrument hard to beat. Again service from godsownguitars is fantastic. Thanks again!"
The second of the pair of guitars that Edward hired for his trip to London, the 62 Reissue Jazzmaster. And not only jazz, but surf too. Check out the link to hear him playing.
