Thanks to Tuomas and Joni from Finnish band Airi's, returning to London to perform an acoustic set at The Plough in Holborn. Two legendary dreadnoughts hired for the occasion - 1974 Martin D-28 and 1993 Gibson J-200. More complimentary than age-old rivalry might suggest!

I've had guitars out for marriage proposals and weddings before, but never yet a christening, so this is a first. Solenn needed an orange guitar for her video shoot. It could only be the 2002 Fender Toronado. Not the first to choose it for that reason - an orange Toronado also made its debut on the Red Hot Chilli Peppers Can't Stop video. Just a great guitar, and plays as good as it looks!

"It was a great pleasure to hire the Little Martin. I was in London for two weeks, and I needed to work on some songs I was writing. The Little Martin sounds great. It has a full, beautiful tone. I was able to work on new songs and just pick up the guitar and play a song when I felt like it. Also, I was able to book a spot on an open mic night while I was here, and the Little Martin made it possible for me to rehearse and keep the music in my fingers. Thank you again, Iain, for making this happen. Definitely a five star experience."
Great to meet US poet, author and singer/songwriter Randolph Thomas while over in London. And great to have the Little Martin in his hands as he wrote and ran through new material. It may be little, but the tone and projection is everything you'd expect from a Martin!

It doesn't go out often, but when it does, it turns heads. Thanks to The Dust Coda guitarist Adam Mackie for a return hire, this time for the beautiful 1970 Gibson ES-355 TD-SV - soon to make an appearance in their latest video, shot in the fields of South England. "Pure guitar joy" :-).

The third time the Little Martin has been used for a marriage proposal . . . and the third time the answer has been a resounding "Yes!". The Little Martin does a lot more than marriage proposals, but it's fair to say it's so far had a 100% success rate when the big question's been asked!

The 1982 P-Bass doing all it needed to do for Frankie, recording bass tracks for his latest work. A lovely 80s bass, with the maple fretboard and ash body giving it the toppier tone that he was after. Thanks Frankie!
