Hirer Feedback
Don't take my word for it. This is what matters most!
"Nice contact! Really enjoyed playing with this gorgeous guitar!"
Many thanks to Johanna from Berlin-based (and wonderfully-named) Easily Distracted By Ducks, making their UK debut (and headline!) appearance at Putney's legendary Half Moon New Music night in August. Bass guitarist Johanna hired the ever-popular Arctic White Stratocaster for guitarist Edgar - and he loved it!

"We were not expecting this level of care and attention to detail. He was very thorough and took interest in the music and what we were recording which showed us that he actually cares about the process. He even had the guitars set up for a different tuning which we had requested. We highly recommend Iain's services for anyone that is looking for a wholesome guitar rental experience."
This was a fun hire. Gueorgui (aka Kan Wakan) needed two guitars for a recording session at Fish Factory in London. Not just that, he wanted them in a downtuned C# open tuning, as near as dammit to the "Hendrix chord". Step forward to classics: the 1988 Martin D-35P and 1989 Les Paul Custom, both set up for the lower tuning - sounded amazing. Looking forward to hearing the release!

"Borrowed for personal practice and songwriting purposes. The guitar was in perfect condition; communication very swift and easy; I am frankly amazed that such a passionate, pure service exists. Thank you Iain!"
It's that Little Martin working its magic again. Ayami had owned a Little Martin in the past, so made the most of her time in London with a welcome reacquaintance. A lovely travel guitar.

"Iain was brilliant to deal with and the hire was perfect - icing on the cake for our event."
A summer garden party, not one, but two visiting guitarists, and the living can only be easy. Many thanks to Dean for hiring the 1997 Yamaha LA-8 for the party. Love the joy in the pictures from the day!

"Excellent guitar, out artist enjoyed playing it at his concert at Leicester Square Theatre in London. Very smooth and professional communication. Effortless experience. Thank you, Iain!"
Many thanks to Vlada at Xameleon Theatre Productions for hiring the 2006 Gibson Hummingbird for a one-off show in London. Not Dead Yet, Back To Citizen Poet, featuring singer/songwriter Vasya Oblomov on guitar. I can tell you no more about it - the show was performed entirely in Russian - but I do know Vasya loved the bird!

"The guitar was absolutely amazing, excellent condition and exactly what we needed. Huge thanks to Iain for the smooth delivery. Really grateful!"
Big thanks to Svetlana at Sound Wellness Club for hiring the utterly dependable 1992 Fender Telecaster for a private event at London's Mandrake Hotel. US-born, Berlin-based multi-instrumentalist Temple Haze flew in to play a hybrid live/DJ set, and absolutely loved it!

"Fantastic and efficient service from Iain. Very much appreciated the insight and advice given."
All kudos to Jamie, who hired an absolutely classic dreadnought, the 1993 Gibson J-200, for a guest during their week's stay in London. Loved the guitar, and loved Jamie for sourcing it. Honestly, can the circle get any more virtuous than that?

"I hired this guitar as a surprise for my partner - who absolutely loved it! I’m afraid I don’t know anything about guitars but partner is a real guitar nerd and he told me it was amazing. Hire process was super slick. Iain is a lovely person and made the experience as fun and as stress free as possible. No doubt I’ll be renting something else soon."
The best of surprises. Many thanks to Gee for hiring the 2011 Graham Coxon Telecaster for her partner for a long weekend. Everyone falls in love with this guitar. It spreads love. I'll even take a bet that Gee's partner loves her all the more for the perfect surprise ;-).

"The guitar was beautifully tuned to our specific needs on the day and sounded really good! The service over the phone that Iain provided was top-notch, from offering us an array of guitars from the off to handling delivery to us personally and talking me through all of the equipment. I would definitely recommend renting any guitar equipment from Iain and will be in touch if we need another guitar!"
Always in tuned with specific needs :-). Great to be able to help Mike at digital content creators Little Dot Studios with a client campaign shoot. Hitting the socials in July, a special request for a non-branded guitar, fulfilled with some judiciously applied masking tape. I know. Intriguing. So, what guitar could possibly pull off such an impressive transformation??? Just click the link to see.

"Fast and efficient service, Iain is friendly and accommodating to professional musicians with top notch equipment at an affordable price!"
No, not a new ad campaign (though I should think about it . . ). Just some very kind feedback from Gabe F-T, after hiring the 2007 AER Compact 60/2 for a performance at Burgh House in North London. Gabe used the Compact 60/2 to lift his voice above the startling power of a baby grand. Did the job.

"Immensely satisfied with my rental of the Gibson Les Paul Goldtop. This guitar was in amazing condition and sounded incredible. The pick-up and delivery of the equipment was smooth sailing as Iain was very easy to contact and even kept an eye on our tour around Europe. I can't wait to play this again in the future when I'm touring the UK."
Big thanks to Callum from Australian band Daste for hiring the very special 1996 Les Paul Classic Goldtop for their UK & Europe tour in May & June 2025. Taking in UK festivals Footsteps, Dot2Dot and Cross The Tracks, and headline slots in Paris, Amsterdam, Hamburg & Berlin, just an amazing adventure! And a real honour to have the Goldtop take the stage with Callum throughout. It really is one lovely guitar!

"Great communication and fantastic instrument!"
Ticks the boxes :-). Many thanks to Varvara at Odyxxey for hiring the 1992 Fender Telecaster for Italian singer/songwriter Heith's headline slot at Club Cheek in Brixton. A low-lit gig, an atmospheric sonic experience, this Tele takes it all in its stride.

"Great service, very quick to respond for a last minute fashion shoot! The guitar was the perfect addition for an authentic Oasis prop, which really made the picture. We look forward to hiring from Gods Own Guitars in the future."
There aren't many guitars more suited as an authentic Oasis prop than the 2002 Epiphone Union Jack Supernova. Delighted to be able to help Alun out at short notice for the shoot. Soon to appear in August's edition of Tatler, and released just in time for a certain band's residency at Wembley Stadium. Rock And Roll Star!

"Absolute beauty. Very smooth and easy rental from Iain who was very helpful throughout the process. Highly recommend."
Just one of four truly great vintage guitars hired by Adam at Etwood Guitar Straps for a photoshoot to showcase his gorgeous vintage-inspired straps. The straps are the stars, but the 1956 Gibson Les Paul Junior, 1962 Epiphone Coronet, 1965 Gibson J-45 and 1969 Gibson EB-3 all played their supporting parts with flair and grace. Cannot wait to see the results!

"Great service, great guitars. Iain was very polite and helpful. Definitely going to use his service again!"
Ilia's day job is as lead guitarist with ethnic death/thrash metal band Concrete Age. But he doesn't let that stop a little guilty pleasure moonlighting with tribute band Crazy Little Thing Called Queen. Only one guitar was going to do the job - the 2005 BMG Red Special, the only companion for a prescribed dose of Brian May at The Robin in Wolverhampton in May.
