Great to be able to help Rob Griffiths, front man for Australian mod band Little Murders for the band's UK debut at Mods Mayday in London - more than 45 years after they first came together! Rob didn't want to bring his prized Rickenbacker 330 all the way over from Melbourne, so hired the almost identical 1985 Jet-glo 330 for rehearsals and the gig itself. A lovely man, still living the dream, and an utter inspiration!

Nashville singer/songwriter Zach Steinza needed an acoustic for a lightning visit to the UK - at London's Lower Third and The Great Escape in Brighton. He usually plays a J-45, but opted for the 2006 Gibson Hummingbird for his UK visit, and loved it, "a top-shelf guitar". Big thanks to his agent Mackenzie Fey for all the arrangements and for being a delight to work with!

Many thanks to Enter Shikari drummer Rob for the hire of three matching Jet-glo Rickenbackers for his bandmates, shooting the video to Find Out The Hard Way, first single off new album Lose Your Self. Check out the video in the link, as Rou and Rory take turns on a 1988 325 V63 and 1985 330, and bass guitarist Chris works out on a 1974 4001. A mighty video for a massive song!

An inspiration to meet Stephen Canfield, over from LA for a showcase performance, launching his new album as Healthcare - back after a twenty-year gap having had to quit music to afford insurance following a chronic disease diagnosis. Such an honour to have the 2006 Gibson Hummingbird sharing the stage with him for his return.

Many thanks to bass guitarist Stuart Firth for hiring the 1982 Fender P-Bass for a weekend recording session. A bit of serendipity, Stuart was working with previous hirer Danny McGuire, putting the finishing touches to the passion project that already includes this P-Bass and the Yamaha FG-411 12 string. Due for release in the summer, can't wait to hear the results!

Great to be able to help out German guitarist Luis, on a short trip over to join German-born, UK-based singer/songwriter Diemer on stage at the very lovely Old Dispensary in Camberwell, London. Luis hired the guitar that I grew up with, the 1976 Guild S-100, and like everyone that has played it, including me, loved it!

An audience with the Knight for the President. A proper honour to have three vintage beauties on return hire for recording sessions with Sir Rod Stewart and band. Organised by Sir Rod's Front Of House Jonny Williams, this time at legendary Konk Studios in London. The gorgeous tones of the semi-acoustic 1964 Hofner President Bass, and the perfectly aged acoustic mojo of the 1965 Gibson J-45 and 1974 Martin D-28 all playing their part in Sir Rod's latest recordings. Looking forward to hearing the results!
