1998 Gibson ES-335 Block Limited Edition
It's an ES-335, but it's a rarely seen one - with the black edging and aged nickel hardware. I've a feeling that those departures from expectation were this model's undoing. But that just makes this one all the more unique today. Definitely a neglected beauty.

ES-335 Limited Edition Set-up Video: A lovely review and set-up video by guitar tech FretFriend - really knows his stuff, even if equally mystified by the lack of online discussion or documentation for this wonderful guitar!
A rare run of ES-335s from 1998, distinguished by the black body binding, small block fretboard inlays and aged nickel hardware. These also came in Translucent Blue and Natural finishes. Such a rare run that there's very little discussion or documentation available online for this model.
The Gibson catalogue describes them having a "smart, snazzy and distinctive flair".
The '57 Classic Humbuckers give this guitar a beautifully rich and warm tone, as a result of the balanced (the same number of wire turns) coils in each.
A classic ES-335 in a unique finish.
